Missions and Tacos Eleven

San Buenaventura

Ventura grew up around this mission and hemmed it in a bit. The little museum had some gems but felt musty.

Cool Motif
I don't know why other people's devotion brings me delight and comfort. It must be something about the faith of my mother and grandmothers. I had to look up who has a flame coming out of his head. It is Saint Jude, the patron saint of lost causes.

So many lit, so early in the day

San Buenaventura was know for its gardens and someone is still nurturing them.

The garden also seems to be the place where parishioners seek intercession or express gratitude.

This Saint seems to be set free.
